A little Known Hot Tub Trick That Works Wonders

In my last blog, I talked about the importance of having your hot tub or jetted bath thoroughly cleaned for the holidays. Do you know hot tub filters trap debris and most of the nasty things in the water? If you use your hot tub regularly especially in the winter, you should clean your filters every 1 to 2 weeks.

When it is time to drain, clean and refill your hot tub, it is a great idea to rinse and clean your filters as you normally do but when you are finished, place the filters in your spa. It is best to place them on a seat with a jet.

When you treat your spa with Ahh-some cleaner, you will be treating the biofilm residual in the filter, which is rarely removed when we simply hose off our filters.

For routine cleaning, mix  ¼ cup of TSP* “TriSodium Phosphate” per gallon of water and soak the filters in the solution overnight.  This is where that spare filter comes in handy.

If you can let the filter dry before you reinstall it, that is also a good idea as well.

Here is the secret . . . the least expensive filter cleaner is TSP – TriSodium Phosphate. It is the main ingredient in many dishwasher detergents.  Yes, that’s right!

When you purchase one bottle of Ahh-Some Hot Tub / Jetted Bath Cleaner, you’ll receive a FREE sample of Ahh-Some cleaner to try in your washing machine or dishwasher.  This will get rid of mold, mildew and fungi that produce the nasty smell associated with these appliances.  The retail price of this sample at our store is $9.99.
