Connecting and Disconnecting the Watermaid Cell

The Watermaid QT series cells and the Ezyclean Cell attaches to the Watermaid Power Supply via a 30 Amp rated power cord and a 30 Amp rated Electrical Junction Box, located underneath the Watermaid Unit.

When accessing the Electrical Junction Box, underneath the Watermaid Unit, please ensure all power to the unit is disconnected.

Disconnect the Cell

With a Philips head Screwdriver, undo the screw and remove the black, plastic junction box cover. Underneath the cover will be exposed, 3 Brass Electrical Connectors)

With a Flat Head Screwdriver, Loosen the Cord Grip Screw (silver in colour) and then proceed to undo the Brass Terminal Screws to enable the cord to be pulled free from the Electrical Connections.

Connecting the Cell

Simply repeat the steps in the reverse order above to reconnect the cell back to Power Supply. Please ensure that the Wires are Connected back the correct way.

From the cell cord, The Blue wire connects to the Blue or Black wire that feeds back inside the Watermaid Power Supply. This is the Negative Terminal.
The Brown wire connects to the Brown or Red wire that feeds back into the Watermaid Power Supply. This is the Positive Terminal.
The White wire connects to the white wire that feeds back into the Watermaid Power Supply. This is the gas detection wire (Not an Earth)

All three wire must be connected inside the junction box for the unit to operate efficiently. It is reccomended to check these terminals every 4 - 6 months to ensure they are tight.
